Clare has as worked as an Occupational Therapist in the field of Paediatrics since 2002. She has experience working with children of all ages with both mild and complex disabilities; including Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder and Sensory Integration Dysfunction.
Clare has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, in both mainstream and special schools, nurseries, children’s homes and respite care places.
Clare has completed postgraduate training in numerous treatment approaches including Sensory Integration Modules 1 and 2 and is a qualified Bobath therapist. She has also completed additional courses in postural management, DCD, handwriting and splinting all in addition to a postgraduate diploma in Management of Childhood Disability.
Clare is experienced in using a variety of assessment tools both standardised and non-standardised and using a variety of treatment approaches tailor-made to help the child, their family and carers meet their needs and maximise their potential in everyday life.
